  1. Verb

    To be dealt cards that complete one's hand or improve the hand enough to win even though the hand was previously an underdog.

    EXAMPLE: "I sucked out, but I've taken enough bad beats that I don't feel bad about laying a few now and then."

    The situation in which a hand with a highly unfavorable chance of winning receives additional cards that improve it or complete it such that it becomes a winning hand.

    EXAMPLE: "Wow, I really got lucky with those card. Sorry about the suckout."
