To act in a manner that indicates a hand is weaker than it actually is; hiding the strength of a hand to encourage opponents to bet more aggressively.
EXAMPLE: "I've had pocket aces beaten too many times by opponents who got lucky cards late in the hand. I almost never slowplay aces anymore. There is just too much risk of being outdrawn."
