    To act in a manner that indicates a hand is weaker than it actually is; hiding the strength of a hand to encourage opponents to bet more aggressively.

    EXAMPLE: "I've had pocket aces beaten too many times by opponents who got lucky cards late in the hand. I almost never slowplay aces anymore. There is just too much risk of being outdrawn."

Slow play
  1. Noun

    An action indicative of a weak hand that is made by a player holding a strong hand.

    EXAMPLE: "My opponent made a slow play, and I made a big raise because I believed it."
