Stuck

  1. Adjective

    Who has lost money or chips; in the hole.

    EXAMPLE: "I'm stuck three grand."

    APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues

    USAGE: Describes a player.

  2. Adjective

    Running bad; on a losing streak.

    EXAMPLE: "I've been stuck for the past three hours. It's time to call it quits for the night."

  3. Adjective

    Who has already contributed such a high percentage of one's chip stack to the pot as to make folding an unreasonable choice even when holding a hand that is likely to be beaten on the showdown.

    EXAMPLE: "I was stuck and my opponent made a raise that put me all-in. Fortunately, I caught a lucky card on the river and won the showdown."
