Seat Charge

  1. Noun

    Time collection; table charge; a fee based on length of time played or number of hands played that is paid to the casino or cardroom for the service of hosting the game; as opposed to rake.

    EXAMPLE: Player A: "How much is the rake?" Player B: "There isn't a rake, but there's a $12/hr seat charge."
