Steal Position

  1. Noun

    Any late position, especially the dealer position.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Late positions are said to be steal positions because of the opportunity to bluff made possible when a number of opponents have already folded and the pot has not been raised.

    EXAMPLE: "I was in steal position, so I took a seat shot to try and win the blinds."
