Sandbag

  1. Verb

    To act in a manner that indicates a hand is weaker than it actually is; hiding the strength of a hand to encourage opponents to bet more aggressively.

    EXAMPLE: "I don't play very well against opponents who sandbag a lot. I usually assume my opponent is on a draw and I just raise."
