ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Typically, Aces may be used as low cards equivalent to a one. Thus, 3-A could be read as 31. The nickname originates as a reference to the Baskin Robbins ice cream chain, which introduced the slogan "31 flavors" in 1953.
