Black Chip

  1. Noun

    A token representing a significant amount of money or points; a chip of a specific, high denomination.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Most commonly refers to $100 chips in regular play and $1,000 chips in higher-stakes play, but may be used to represent other denominations.

    EXAMPLE: "I traded in some of my lower denomination chips for three black chips."
