Buried Pair

  1. Noun

    Two down cards of the same rank; a pair that no other player is entitled to see; concealed pair.

    EXAMPLE: "I began with a buried pair and made three of a kind on fifth street. When I raised most of my opponents called because they underestimated the strength of my hand."
