Bird Dog

  1. Noun

    A person who recruits players for a given game, casino, or cardroom; a casino or cardroom employee responsible for new player development.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Used only in informal situations.

    EXAMPLE: "We had a small weekly game going, but a lot of the weaker players stopped coming when they realized they were just donating. We need a bird dog to keep the live ones coming in."
