Draw

  1. Verb

    Discard cards in one's hand in exchange for being dealt an equal number of additional cards.

    EXAMPLE: "I'll draw two."

  2. Verb

    Maintain a stake in the pot with the possibility that additional cards to be dealt will complete a hand of higher rank than the hand current held.

    EXAMPLE: "I only had queen-high, but I had four diamonds and decided to draw for the flush when my opponent made a small raise."

    A draw game, especially 5-Card Draw.
