Dead in the Pot

  1. Adjective

    That is drawing dead; that is maintaining eligibility to contest the pot while holding a hand with no possibility of winning on a showdown.

    EXAMPLE: "I called with my flush draw but my opponent made a full house. I was dead in the pot."
