Counter Proposition

  1. Verb

    To offer a substitute set of specified actions after an initial proposition is declined.

    EXAMPLE: "My opponent passed for a prop and all the remaining players folded. I won the hand when I counter propositioned my opponent and the offer was declined."

    APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues

  2. Noun

    A specific alternative proposition; in the case where an initial offer has been rejected, a new offer to take a specified action on the condition that an opponent will also take a specified action.

    EXAMPLE: "My opponent offered to draw one card and go all-in if I drew at least two cards. I rejected the proposition and made a counter proposition that required me to draw only one card instead of two."
