Chip - [Color] Chip

  1. Noun

A chip of a given money or point value, where the color of the chip corresponds to the value.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The terms blue chip and black chip are often used to indicate high value chips without noting the specific value, while the term white chip is similarly used to describe low value chips without necessarily entailing a specific denomination. Other color references, such as red chips and green chips, are used in reference to a specific value determined by the house issuing the chips.

EXAMPLE: "I'll raise three green chips."

APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues
