    The pocket cards 10-9, either suited or offsuit.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Nickname stems from the fact that it is common to start at 10 when counting down to a particular occurance, as in "10, nine, eight?two, one, blast off."

    SAMPLE HAND:

    EXAMPLE: "I had countdown in the pocket. I might have played the hand if it were suited, but it was easy to lay down since it was offsuit."
