Verb
In a game with a limited amount of time to act, to run out of time.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Rules vary for what action is taken when a player times out. In most cases, the player is folded. However, if it was possible to check, some casinos or cardrooms may consider a player who times out to have checked rather than folded.
EXAMPLE: "I was multi-tabling and timed out with one of my hands. It was just as well that I did, since I probably would have folded the hand anyway."
