Tells

  1. Noun

    Behaviors or patterns of behavior that reveal information about a player's intended actions or about a player's cards, especially when such behaviors are unconscious or unintended; clues about how an opponent will play or the cards an opponent is holding.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: While many of the physical mannerisms that reveal information are not applicable to online poker, aspects of online play such as chatting behavior and play speed may reveal consistent patterns.

    EXAMPLE: "I have a difficult time reading my opponents' tells and limiting my own, but I found some helpful books on the topic and am trying to improve this aspect of my play."
