Trio

  1. Noun

    Three of a kind; a hand containing three cards of the same value, such as Qs-Qh-Qd-8s-9d; the hand ranking immediately below a straight and immediately above two pair. When multiple players have three of a kind, the winner is the three of a kind with the highest card value.

    SAMPLE HAND:

    EXAMPLE: "I had a trio of nines but was beaten by my opponent's flush."
