Twist

  1. Noun

An extra card dealt to a specific player in a stud or draw game, especially in exchange for an additional contribution to the pot; an option.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Two additional rules often required when playing with a twist are that the twist can only be made after all other cards have been dealt and that the twist must be in exchange for an already held card rather than simply serving as an additional card.

EXAMPLE: "We were playing $1-$2 5-card stud with a twist for $1."

APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues

    GAME CATEGORY: Draw Games
