    Frequently folding when it may be advisable to maintain a stake in the pot; tending to play few hands and often folding before the showdown; as opposed to loose.

    EXAMPLE: "I used to be a very tight player, but I barely won enough to pay for the antes and blinds. I am trying to play more loosely now."
