All-in Disconnect Protection

  1. Noun

A system for online cardrooms so that a player is considered all-in if that player loses connection to the website, allowing the player to be eligible for the pot up until the point at which disconnection occurred. Does not actually wager all of a player's chips, but rather identifies that player as all-in only for purposes of allowing creation of a side pot.

EXAMPLE: "My internet connection is unreliable, so I only play in cardrooms with all-in disconnect protection."

    APPLIES TO: Online Venues
