Roodles Hand

  1. Noun

In a game with rangdoodles after a particular hand value appears on the showdown, any hand that meets the predetermined criteria for increasing stakes.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The criteria used in rangdoodles often require particularly highly valued hands in order for the stakes to be increased. Because of this, the term roodles hand is sometimes used to refer to higher strength hands even when not playing rangdoodles.

EXAMPLE: "I had three of a kind and was drawing to a roodles hand. I missed it, but still ended up having a strong enough hand to win on the showdown."

APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues

  2. Noun

A round of game play in which stakes are increased due to an event that occurred in the previous round of game play.

EXAMPLE: "The stakes we were playing at were just around what I typically like to play at, so I tightened up a little whenever there was a roodles hand."

APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues

    SYNONYMS: Kill, Kill Pot
