Running Bad
Verb
To be dealt a series of weak hands; to undergo a losing streak primarily due to the cards that were dealt rather than the quality of play.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Random chance does not necessarily mean that each good hand will be followed by a bad hand. The quality of hands a player is dealt will average out statistically over the long run, but in the shorter term players should expect to have streaks when they are running good or running bad.
EXAMPLE: "I was running bad and decided to take a break. Even though I knew I was losing just because of the cards, it is hard to maintain my discipline and make sound decisions after losing so many hands in a row."
