Rap

  1. Verb

    To check, especially when indicated by physically knocking one's hand on the table.

    EXAMPLE: "I rapped when I hit a set on the flop in hopes of trapping my opponents."

  2. Verb

    To stand pat; to draw zero cards, especially when indicated by physically knocking one's hand on the table.

    EXAMPLE: The dealer may say to a player, "The action is on you. How many cards would you like?" To which the player might respond, "I've already acted. I rapped."
