Pot Out

  1. Verb

    To set aside a portion of the wagered money to buy something for the group of players, such as snacks or drinks.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Potting out is done only upon agreement of all players. In casinos or cardrooms where money may not be taken directly from the pot, players may still pot out by making an agreement that the winner will buy the specified items.

    EXAMPLE: "We decided to pot out for some snacks."
