Proposition Bet

    Side bet; a wager made beyond the normal rules of the game.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Some cardrooms offer specific proposition bets. Cardrooms often forbid proposition bets that are not arranged by the house itself.

    EXAMPLE: Player A: "I'll bet you 150:1 that you don't get pocket aces on the next hand." Player B: "No thanks. I don't take proposition bets. Besides, the odds are too far in your favor."
