Poker Run

    A race that has points along the route at which racers are given a certain number of playing cards to be used to make the best poker hand.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Poker runs can be conducted with a range of racing types, including running, motorcycle races, and boat races. The method of distributing cards varies, sometimes providing an advantage to those who get to each check point first and sometimes providing no such advantage. Scoring methods also may vary, with the winner being determined by the rank of the poker hand or some combination of poker hand rank and race completion time.

    EXAMPLE: "I did a poker run last weekend. It was great fun, and my team ended up making a full house."
