On a Draw

  1. Adjective

    Maintaining a stake in the pot in an attempt to complete a hand using cards that are yet to be dealt. Typically includes reference to the specific hand that is sought.

    EXAMPLE: "I was on a flush draw, but folded when my opponent raised over the top."

    USAGE: Describes a player.

  2. Adverb

    That is done while the player doing so holds an incomplete hand that needs one additional card to be completed.
