Open Pair

  1. Noun

    A pair that is visible to all players, either among community cards or in the visible portion of an individual player's hand during stud games; exposed pair.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: By some rules for stud games, the betting restrictions change when there is an open pair.

    EXAMPLE: "If I have a drawing hand, I tend to stay in the pot unless an opponent has a high open pair."
