Little Dog

  1. Noun

A hand with no pair, no straight, and no flush in which 7 is the highest card and 2 is the lowest card; any one of the hands 2-3-4-5-7, 2-3-4-6-7, 2-3-5-6-7, 2-4-5-6-7 without a flush; in a Cats and Dogs game, the hand ranking immediately below a Big Dog and immediately above a Straight.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: If multiple players have a Little Dog, the winner is the Little Dog that uses the higher cards. Example: 2-4-5-6-7 wins against 2-3-4-5-7 because the 6 in the first hand is the highest card that the two hands do not share.

EXAMPLE: "I had three of a kind but lost to a little dog."

APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues

    GAME CATEGORY: Draw Games
