Limp-Raise

  1. Verb

    To call the minimum required bet without raising, and then reraising after an opponent in later position has raised.

    EXAMPLE: "I knew someone would raise in late position to try and steal the pot, so I decided to limp-raise."

  2. Noun

    A reraise made after the player making it limped in and a player in later position raised.

    EXAMPLE: "There were three limpers ahead of me, and then I raised. One of the limpers then reraised. I called enough though I put that player on a fairly strong hand after the limp-raise."
