Little Bobtail

  1. Noun

    Three consecutive cards of the same suit; three cards to a straight flush.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: In non-standard games in which a little bobtail is considered a complete hand, it ranks above Two Pair and below Three of a Kind.

    SAMPLE HAND:

    EXAMPLE: "I made a little bobtail on the flop and quickly folded when an opponent bet out. I had a runner-runner flush draw and a runner-runner straight draw, but the chances of hitting either were so small I just didn't have the implied odds to make the call."
