Free Ride

  1. Noun

A hand with many free cards or a round after which there is a free card; a round or hand in which a player is not required to contribute additional money in order to maintain a stake in the pot.

EXAMPLE: "I was in the big blind position and there were a few callers pre-flop but there was no raise. Everyone checked around on the flop and the turn. I ended up missing my straight draw and folding when an opponent raised on the river, but didn't lose much since I had a free ride up until that point."
