Flat Limit

  1. Noun

    A specified wager amount that does not change over the course of the hand. Commonly referred to simply as the limit.

    EXAMPLE: "The flat limit is $5."

    APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues

  2. Adjective

    In which a player may either make no wager or may make a wager equal to a specified amount that does not increase over the course of the hand; involving a fixed limit that does not increase in latter rounds within a hand.

    EXAMPLE: "We were playing $5 flat limit Hold'em."

    APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues
