Flop Percent
Noun
The percentage of players who stay in the pot at least until the flop in a particular cardroom or particular table; a measure of looseness or tightness.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: While there is a flop percent in both land-based and online cardrooms, the difficulty in tracking it for land-based cardrooms means that it is used almost exclusively online.
EXAMPLE: "When looking for an online cardroom, I usually look at the flop percent to find the one with the loosest players."

The percentage of hands played in which a particular player stays in the pot until at least the flop; a measure of looseness or tightness.

Noun
The percentage of players who stay in the pot at least until fourth street in a particular cardroom or particular table; a measure of looseness or tightness.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This is technically fourth street percent, but many online cardrooms refer to it as flop percent because their software was designed primarily for Texas Hold'em and Omaha.
EXAMPLE: "When I am playing in a room with a low flop percent, I tend to bluff more frequently to steal the pot. I know I can get away with it because the flop percent indicates that my opponents are tight."
