Fifth Street

  1. Noun

The round of betting immediately after the fifth card is dealt or immediately after the fifth community card is revealed.

EXAMPLE: "I missed my flush on fifth street and decided to fold."

APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues

  2. Noun

In stud games, the fifth card dealt.

EXAMPLE: Player A: "What was fifth street?" Player B: "The seven of clubs."

APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues

    GAME CATEGORY: Stud Games

  3. Noun

In community card games, the fifth community card revealed; the river.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The fifth community card is not actually the fifth card dealt. Because each player receives cards in addition to the community cards, fifth street is the seventh card dealt in Texas Hold'em and the ninth card dealt in Omaha.

EXAMPLE: Player A: "What was fifth street?" Player B: "The Queen of diamonds."

APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues

    GAME CATEGORY: Shared Card Games
