House Rules

    The parameters by which the game is played, especially those that are unique to a specific facility or table; the binding rules observed in a particular establishment or table.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: House rules should be agreed upon by all players in a social game or set by a person agreed upon by all players, such as the current dealer. In a casino or cardroom, players implicitly agree to the house rules by playing in that particular facility.

    EXAMPLE: Player: "Are there any house rules?" Dealer: "Yes, regular rules for Hold'em, with deuces wild."
