Head-to-Head

  1. Adjective

    Heads-up; in which only two people are playing; one-on-one.

    EXAMPLE: "It was head-to-head at the final table. Two poker giants fighting to see who would take home the championship."

    USAGE: Describes a game or hand.

  2. Adverb

    Heads-up; with only two people; one-on-one.

    EXAMPLE: "I was playing head-to-head and went all-in with a pair of fives. My opponent called and I ended up winning the hand."
