Act

  1. Noun

    A false tell intended to lead an opponent to an inaccurate reading of one's hand; a purposeful behavior intended to convince an opponent that a player has revealed information about one's hand; a reverse tell.

    EXAMPLE: "A lot of the time novice players' attempts to act end up actually serving as a reliable tell. They consistently act like they have a weak hand when they have a strong one and act like they have a strong hand when they have a weak one. Acting is a difficult skill to perfect."
