Any game variation in which the betting limits may be temporarily increased after certain pre-determined criteria are met.
EXAMPLE: "Before I move up at a new stakes level, I try to play in kill games. Doing this, I am able to practice hands for the higher amount of money while still staying at my ordinary level. I find this gradual shift saves me money versus a sudden shift to the tougher competition."
