In the Money

  1. Adjective

    Who has won a prize or has made it to the position in a tournament after which one is guaranteed a prize, regardless of whether the tournament is complete.

    EXAMPLE: "I was really excited the first time I finished in the money in a tournament. Even though there were a lot of prizes and I was only barely in the money, it felt really great to win something."

    APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues

    USAGE: Describes a player.
