Youngest Hand

  1. Noun

    The dealer; the player who received the last card dealt.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Rather than referring to determining playing order based upon the actual age of each player, the term refers to the length of time that the hand has been in existence. The last hand that is dealt a card being the most recently created, and is thus the youngest.

    EXAMPLE: "I had the advantage of knowing what all the other players did before I had to act. The information gained from being the youngest hand really does have a significant impact on the game."
