Wooden Hand

    A weak or marginal group of cards; a hand that could not improve sufficiently to win in a showdown.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A player who is holding a wooden hand is said to be drawing dead.

    EXAMPLE: "I figured I had a wooden hand, so I quickly folded when one of my opponents raised."
