Wired Pair

  1. Noun

    A pair made using the first and second cards dealt to an individual player. In community card games with two pocket cards, a pocket pair. In stud games, a pair of the first two down cards.

    EXAMPLE: "I had a wired pair but my hand didn't improve at all and I lost at the showdown."
