Miscall

  1. Verb

    To declare a hand value that is lower than the best hand the player holds or that is not held.

    EXAMPLE: "I won the pot when my opponent miscalled."

    APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues

  2. Noun

    A mistaken declaration of hand value, when either the player does not actually have the hand declared or the player has a higher value hand than the one declared.

    EXAMPLE: "I decided it was time to go home and get to bed after I made a miscall on a hand with a large pot."
