Jackpot Drop
Noun
A special fee set aside for a jackpot offered at a specific table or cardroom.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Jackpot drops may be taken as a percentage of the regular rake, as an additional raked fee on top of the regular rake, or as an additional flat fee for all players.
EXAMPLE: "Even though some people play a bit more loosely at a table with a bad beat jackpot and the chance at the jackpot itself is worth something, sometimes those gains don't justify the cost on the jackpot drop."
APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues
