No Money Plays

    A rule for table stakes games stipulating that cash must be converted to chips in order to be considered part of the player's table stakes; a rule stating that cash may not be wagered unless it is converted to chips.

    EXAMPLE: "There was a lot of confusion in one game I was playing with a no money plays rule. The dealer was fairly new to the job and didn't really pay attention to the fact that one of the players was using cash. They had to call over a floor manager to sort the situation out when another player pointed out that it didn't play."
