Giant Twist

  1. Noun

An additional draw at the end of the hand for a draw game or the choice to draw at the end of the hand during a stud game; an opportunity to discard cards in one's hand in exchange for being dealt an equal number of additional cards, when this opportunity is in addition to the typical rules of a particular game; a twist that permits exchange of a number of cards up to the entirety of one's hand rather than a single card.

EXAMPLE: "I found that a nice way to transition from playing stud games to playing draw games is to play 5-card stud with a giant twist. This way you can still use a lot of the skills you picked up in stud, but you have the opportunity to practice some of the skills of draw."

APPLIES TO: Online and Land-based Venues
