In 1989, Hellmuth defeated Johnny Chan in the WSOP Main Event to become the youngest player (24) to win the World Championship. In 2006, Hellmuth won his tenth gold bracelet, tying him for the all-time lead with Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan. Is second with 35 WSOP final table appearances and holds a record with 55 WSOP cashes. Arguably the most recognized face in poker thanks to his brash table antics and his berating of players who knock him from major events. Replaced Phil Gordon as the expert host of Bravo’s Celebrity Poker Showdown in 2006.
