Won the 2005 WSOP Main Event, which at the time, was the largest live poker tournament ever held. His earnings in that event totaled $7.5 million. Hachem began playing more poker after a rare blood disease left him without the ability to use his hands and continue his chiropractic work. He only played in the 2005 WSOP Main Event because he’d won $28,000 for placing tenth in a smaller event. His three “In the Money” finishes in the 2006 WSOP have helped solidify his standing as a dangerous tournament player.
